Ethiopia has made significant progress in its digital health initiatives in recent years. The country has been implementing various eHealth programs to improve healthcare delivery, access, and quality. The government has been focusing on the development of a national health information system to enhance data collection, analysis, and management. Mobile health (mHealth) interventions, such as telemedicine and mobile apps, have been utilized to overcome geographical barriers and provide healthcare services to remote areas. Efforts have also been made to strengthen health information exchange and interoperability among different health facilities. However, challenges such as limited infrastructure, low internet penetration, and a shortage of skilled personnel still exist, hindering the full potential of digital health in Ethiopia.
